The house itself, built as an annexe to Stoke Sub Hamdons 11th Century Priory was reborn in the 17th Century as a bustling country inn warmed by real log fires. So it stands today enhanced by 21st Century upgrades to ensure sparkling services and standards for visitors and locals alike.

In keeping with its ale house ancestry, keg beers abound in this historic hostelry, which also boasts a good selection of fine wines and spirits.

The pool room provides a reception for guests who wish to escape the bar area. This room can also be used for small functions and meetings.
